HYPER HUMAN

The continuation of the athleisure boom within the Fashion Industry is clear, with most global brands and designers featuring activewear within their collections. Increasingly these collections are inspired by the advances in material technologies which increase performance and wear-ability. These advances have sub-human and futuristic aesthetic which inspire and direct the collections. 

Centred around combining basketball (the inspirational sport) and mixing it with Hyper Human to create a futuristic concept. The aim for the shoot was to encapsulate this aesthetic and fusing futuristic influences within it. One of the requirements was to see final images in context, like a magazine cover, which would situate itself in a fashion publication.

GO ON A GLITCHY TRIP TO THE FUTURE OF BASKETBALL

Sophie was a basketball addict and spent hour after hour downloading basketball apps on her phone and playing on them. One time Sophie was playing on her basketball game on her phone and due to a glitch found herself transported to the future whereby she was a real life avatar that she once played.
