Shining The Light On Black-Owned Businesses

It didn’t really feel right for me to come on this week and create my weekly Wishlist considering what has gone on this past week following the tragic death of George Floyd. This has been a wake up call for so many, myself included that change is necessary. I’ve felt so many emotions this last week and some I just can’t even articulate and put into words but to name a few anger and frustration. There are so many things I’ve wanted to say and I was apprehensive in doing so due to the fear it might result in me saying the wrong thing, that I’d do more damage than good and appear uneducated. I’ve took this time and will continue to do so to do my research, reflect and absorb everything I’ve seen, read and heard. Through that I’ve came to the conclusion it is worse to say nothing because silence is violence. To say something is better than to say nothing and we are to utilise the voices we have.

With that this week I’ve decided to curate a mood board to highlight some of my favourite Black-owned fashion, beauty and home businesses/brands that we should be not only supporting but following right now and always!

Stay safe mentally and physically!
